DOWNTOWN LIFESTYLE

North Mecklenburg Christmas Parade Begins in Davidson

Why is the Town of Davidson and Hobbs Hill Neighborhood so popular and desirable for families of all types in the greater Charlotte region? Perhaps the answer lies within the pattern of national media writers often comparing our unique Town to the popular imagery of famed artist Norman Rockwell – classic, small and college town America!

And that character is written right into our Town’s published “Core Values.” As the current edit to to Town Core Value #5 states: “Davidson is a small, historic, college town. We are a town that celebrates our rich cultural and architectural history. Our unique character is reflected in our land use, managed approach to growth, and preserved in our architectural history. Our land planning will reflect historic patterns of village-centered growth, connections between our neighborhoods, preservation of our rural area, provision of our public spaces, and new development will honor our historic character.”
